How beautiful are these smiling, joyful, precious children?
Whose children are they? Do they belong to us...the 'G' family...Mama Medina (in Ethiopia)? The answer is all of the above and none of the above. These are God's precious, beloved children whom He has ordained to be 'ours' for such a time is this. Why? Because 'daddy had a plan' for them long before He breathed life into thier lungs. He ordained for them to be born in Ethiopia to Mama Medina & to be divided into two different families in America. Why? Because God's plans are greater than our plans and He does not make mistakes.
When the 'G' family met with Mama Medina in Ethiopia while picking up their beautiful daughter, they asked her what she wanted for her daughter. Her only response was, "I don't want her to forget her siblings". As we sat at dinner watching these 3 beloved children eat Ethiopian food together, color and giggle together, my mind went straight to a mother on the other side of the world who, in our experience with our sons, taught her children to love well and find joy in their circumstances. I said a prayer for her that God would touch her heart and help her to know that her children are well & have been reunited. It is with great joy that I will help Muaz compose a letter and enclose one of these pictures to send to Hannah's Hope Ethiopia in hopes that Mama Medina would receive it and praise God for His faithfulness.
